Dear Family and Friends,
It's that time of year again to help and support the mission of the CF Foundation to find a cure! Although they have come out with some amazing drugs, we can't stop fighting until a cure is found. Abby is a Freshman at UNC Charlotte now studying Nursing. She is loving college life but she has faced some health challenges related to her CF. I hope one day she can live free of this disease.
For those that are local, we have a fun event planned for Friday October 13th in Durham. This new event called the 65 Roses Ball has combined the Brewer's Ball and Master Chef events. Should be a great evening out, I hope you can join us! For those not local or who can't attend, I hope you can donate, any amount matters.

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is over 50. Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.
