Fifty years ago, kids with Cystic Fibrosis didn't live long enough to attend Kindergarten. I was blessed to know two -- Amanda and Ricky Briggs -- who graced our world through young adulthood and left us for Heaven still much too young. It's in memory of them, in deep admiration of their parents Sonya and Ricky, as well as younger Ricky's wife Hannah and two young sons Sawyer and Teddy, in appreciation of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and with knowledge of so many others for whom a cure is still far off, that I ask your help.

Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now more than ever to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research.

Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is about 40. That's remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day.

Please give whatever you can, and pass the word. Any and all donations are appreciated, easy and secure. Just click the Donate button, and urge your friends and family members to do the same.
