I am being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in my community. In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raising money to help the Foundation realize its mission of curing cystic fibrosis (CF) and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.
 

What drives me is simple: people with CF do not have nearly enough voices advocating for them. While other diseases often get widespread attention and funding, CF continues to fight for visibility. That’s where we come in!
 

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Thanks to the work of the CF Foundation, major advancements in treatment have led to longer, more fulfilling lives with median survival now over 50 years. But the work isn’t done. Not everyone with CF benefits from the current therapies, and there is still no cure.
