Amanda Artner

Hi Friends and Family,

I wanted to introduce myself, I am Amanda Artner, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, Feeding Therapist, an Early Start Denver Model Supervisor. Since receiving my Masters Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, I returned home to Los Angeles to provide early intervention services to the youngest Angelenos. In 2013, I began working at SMILE Pediatric Therapy & Diagnostics and was able to provide in-home and in-clinic therapy through the Frank D. Lanternman Regional Center. SMILE stands for Seeing Miracles In Life Everyday and that is just what I strive to accomplish. During my time at SMILE, I have worked with a wide variety of clients and diagnoses to help them grow and meet their developmental milestones. In 2016, together with my co-supervisors, SMILE launched a social-emotional and behavioral treatment program using the Early Start Denver Model primarily for children on the Autism Spectrum and those with related markers from 12-60 months of age. Our program is a child-lead approach and stems from a developmental, holistic framework. Through my work at SMILE, I have been inspired to help create hope and build healthier futures for my clients and their families.

I am so excited to be working the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to raise money to help the Foundation realize its mission of controlling and curing cystic fibrosis (CF).

Cystic Fibrosis is cause that is very close to my heart. Having grown up with close friends with CF and watching all the struggles they went through. It is very important to me to raise money and awareness of cystic fibrosis (a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system) to help find a cure!!

Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively to help support vital CF research, medical and education programs.

Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the Donate button on this page to make a donation that will be credited to my fundraising efforts. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated!

**Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is about 40. This is remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day.**

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis.

Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation!
