Kim Smith

I am honored to mentor and lead a team of Rocky Mountain’s Finest 2019 outstanding young professionals!

As a member of the Enterprise Holdings senior leadership team here in Colorado, I have oversight for business development. I am responsible for setting sales strategy and directing those efforts, developing our management teams and modeling the Enterprise values, behavior and culture. I also have the privilege of chairing our community involvement and philanthropy efforts at the state level. I first became involved with the CFF Rocky Mountain chapter 9 years ago when my niece Tula was born diagnosed with CF. The Enterprise team has supported me along the way on every level as I served on a number of event committees before finding my way to Rocky Mountain’s Finest as an honoree in 2013. I have remained involved as an event committee member and honoree mentor.

My journey with “Finest” and involvement with this great Rocky Mountain Chapter team led me to accept the invitation to join the chapter advisory board where I continue to grow as a leader and receive tremendous support from Enterprise. In my role at Enterprise, I have the opportunity to work with countless non-profit organizations. All doing great work and making an impact. The CFF Finest program is unique and special. Being a Finest honoree was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever had, personally and professionally. Certainly why I have stayed involved the past 6 years and continue to nominate Enterprise honorees year after year.

While I obviously have a strong personal connection to the cause, I have watched honorees enter the program knowing little to nothing about CF or fundraising and come out stronger communicators and better leaders. The experience provides a unique platform to learn about and significantly impact the most exciting story in medicine today while changing lives. Making a real difference for people battling this disease. Honorees will tell you, they do walk away from the experience changed. Having built connections and friendships that will last a lifetime.

That is important to us at Enterprise. We support those opportunities for our employees to obtain that personal and professional development beyond what we provide them internally. Also important to us is ability to network with their peers and leaders in the Denver business community who have the same values we do at Enterprise. We want to tell our story and those are the people we want to know, synergize and collaborate with and do business with.

I invite you to support this most worthy cause by sponsoring or purchasing tickets and joining us at the April 6th celebration event or by making a donation. Every dollar makes a difference! Just click the Donate button on this page to purchase sponsorship/tickets or make a donation that will be credited to my team fundraising efforts.

Forever grateful, until it’s done!

Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is about 40. This is remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit cff.org. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis. Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation!
