I will soon be honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding young professionals in my community. In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raise money to help the Foundation realize its mission of controlling and curing cystic fibrosis (CF). But this isn't about me ...

I will never forget the day my nephew Luke's CF diagnosis was confirmed. He was just a few weeks old. Although we knew there was a chance our little guy would be born with CF, we hoped, prayed, and begged for it not to be the case. Unfortunately, our "little dude," as we call him, didn't beat those odds. So, in support of Luke and all of those battling CF, myself and my family have decided to do anything we can to help find a cure for this disease.

Thankfully, those with CF are able to live longer and better lives thanks to amazing advances in research and science made possible by donations. Luke, who just turned 3, benefits from these advancements on a daily basis. With every meal or snack, Luke takes enzymes to make sure the nutrients from his food get absorbed into his body. Each day Luke does at least two breathing treatments and uses a special airway clearing vibrating vest to break up mucus on his lungs. Much like Luke, everyone with CF has to take proactive measures every single day to fight this disease. Therefore, I would be grateful, honored, and ecstatic if you would consider donating to support the fight against CF and the ultimate goal of one day having CF stand for "Cure Found." THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!!!

Making a donation is easy and secure! Just click the Donate button on this page to make a donation that will be credited to my fundraising efforts. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated!

For those of you that don't know, cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is about 40. This is remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. To learn more about CF and the CF Foundation, visit cff.org. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis. Thank you for supporting the mission of the CF Foundation!

Thank you!
