While I do not personally have cystic fibrosis, my heart became deeply connected to this disease through someone very special. My best friend’s nephew, Luke, who is 10 years old was diagnosed with CF only a few days after he was born. Watching Luke and his family face the daily challenges that come with CF has given me a firsthand appreciation for their strength, resilience, and unwavering hope. 

Cystic fibrosis isn’t just a diagnosis—it affects every single day. It requires countless treatments, medications, doctor’s appointments, and incredible perseverance. Yet through it all, Luke continues to inspire everyone around him with his courage and determination.

When I was invited to participate in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Magnificent campaign, I didn’t hesitate. This is an opportunity to honor Luke, support every individual and family living with CF, and help fund the groundbreaking research that continues to improve lives and move us closer to a cure.

As an educator for more than 20 years, I’ve always believed that we can make a difference when we come together as a community. That’s exactly what this campaign is about. Every donation—large or small—helps provide hope, advances research, and supports families who are navigating life with cystic fibrosis.
