This year, I’m honored to return as a Dallas’ Finest alum and continue supporting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a mission that is deeply personal to me and my family.

My youngest brother, James, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was just six weeks old. Today, he’s a bright, active 12-year-old who loves drawing, swimming, skateboarding, and Scouts. To most people, he looks like any other kid chasing his dreams and enjoying life. But behind the scenes, cystic fibrosis is part of every day.

James takes multiple medications, spends about an hour each day doing breathing and airway clearance treatments, and works hard to maintain his health and nutrition. CF can also bring additional challenges, including CF-related diabetes, feeding tubes to support nutrition, and the emotional weight of feeling different from friends and classmates. Even with the incredible advances in treatment, there is no cure.

That’s why this mission matters so much to me.

I want James to have every opportunity to pursue his dreams without limitations caused by his disease. I want him, and every person living with CF, to have a future where daily treatments, hospital stays, and constant health concerns are no longer part of life.

Because of supporters like you, tremendous progress has been made. Just a few decades ago, many children with CF did not live long enough to reach elementary school. Today, thanks to groundbreaking research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, many people with CF are living into adulthood and beyond. But we are not finished. Thousands of people with CF still do not benefit from existing therapies, and there is still no cure.

I have committed to raising funds to help advance the Foundation’s mission of curing cystic fibrosis and ensuring that every person with CF has the opportunity to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.

If you are able, please consider making a donation toward my fundraising goal. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps move us closer to a cure and gives hope to families like mine. Supporting this mission means helping create a future where children like James can focus on being kids instead of fighting a disease every single day.

Together, we have the chance to be part of something extraordinary. Together, we can help make medical history.

Thank you for your support, your generosity, and for helping bring us one step closer to a cure.
