Funds raised by the CF Foundation contribute to breakthrough science that creates the kind of medications that did not previously exist. Because CF is a genetic disease, drugs have to work at the gene level to have the most impact on decreasing symptoms and improving life expectancy. It is fascinating to me that the medications that work at the gene level are now available solely from grassroots fundraising!

Additionally, funds raised by the CF Foundation also support access to wholistic care for CF patients. One example is the accredited CF Care Centers where all the diverse type of doctors a CF patient needs can coordinate care in one space.

Since its inception, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been steadfast in achieving the mission of curing cystic fibrosis (CF) and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those with cystic fibrosis!
