Hunter Burkard

I am proud to be one of this year’s New York Elite honorees. New York’s Elite is a group of leaders from the Metro NY area who are committed to professional growth and a fundraising and awareness campaign that benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their mission to find a cure for CF.

My Connection to CFF

My connection to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation began through my role leading the NYC chapter of Mastercard's Young Professionals group, where I've had the honor of supporting our company's longstanding partnership with CFF. Over the years, I've personally organized and participated in programming that brings together Mastercard colleagues and CFF community members, witnessing firsthand the remarkable impact of this organization's work. Through these experiences, I've learned about the incredible progress being made—including breakthrough treatments like Trikafta that have transformed countless lives. Yet these treatments aren't cures, and they don't help everyone battling CF. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's relentless investment in research and drug development extends beyond improving daily life for patients; they're committed to finding an actual cure. Joining the NY Elite program represents my commitment to move beyond corporate partnership facilitation and make a direct, personal impact on this mission. I'm driven by the belief that every person living with CF deserves our unwavering support, and that every scientific advancement brings us closer to a world free from this disease. I hope you'll stand with me in supporting this vital cause and join us at this event.
