I am humbled and honored to share that I have been named by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western Pennsylvania as one of Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest. Since April, I have been working continuously to raise awareness and funds to support the lifesaving research provided by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My campaign is inspired by two 3-year old twins, Lucia and Palmer, who are from Johnstown, PA - - my own hometown. These little heroes battle cystic fibrosis (CF) daily with great strength, determination and giggles of course. Their hearts have fueled my fundraising efforts, as they capture the hearts of all they meet. 

Ultimately, I hope to raise $40,000 in honor of the 40,000 children and adults in the United States who have CF - - a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. My campaign will culminate with the 50 Finest Finale Celebration on Friday, September 20 at the Wyndham Grand. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is over 50. Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.
