Decades ago, a CF diagnosis meant a significantly shortened lifespan, with many children not living long enough to attend elementary school. However, thanks to the research and care supported by the CF Foundation, the median survival age for those with CF has increased dramatically, now exceeding 50 years.

The progress has been remarkable—over a dozen CF treatments have been developed due to the Foundation's efforts, substantially extending life expectancy for many. However, the reality remains that some with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our shared vision is bold—a cure for every individual with cystic fibrosis, and a future where no one is burdened by this disease. We are committed to leaving no one behind.
