I have taken on the challenge to participate in Philadelphia’s Finest- an event honoring Philadelphia’s Finest young professionals- those who show exemplary leadership, are active in their communities, and who have excelled in their profession or business. The professional men and women who participate will be given the opportunity to display their community involvement and highlight their professional achievements, while raising funds to help support the many initiatives funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation remains committed to advancing our mission. Since our founding 65 years ago, the Foundation has made extraordinary progress. We have built a highly specialized system of care and a unique research enterprise that has resulted in more than 10 approved therapies and added decades of life for people with CF.
I made the decision to take part in the CF foundation due to several personal connections with individuals, whether directly or through others, who are living with CF. While advances in the medical field have improved not only life expectancy, but also quality of life for those living with this rare disease, we are not done yet.
Our most important and challenging work is ahead of us. It will take many years and substantial investment to realize our dream of finding a cure so that every person with CF can live their best possible life. This is why I have accepted a nomination to be an honoree in the Philadelphia’s Finest Class of 2023.
In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raise $2,500 to help the Foundation realize its mission of controlling and curing cystic fibrosis.
