Hi, I'm Himani!

I am a 23-year-old professional with a desire to advance healthcare through my work in home care and my pursuit of a Master of Public Health at UNC Chapel Hill. I am deeply honored to be recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of Philly’s Finest Young Professionals for my contributions to our community. This distinction has inspired me to lead a fundraising campaign to support the Foundation’s mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF) and ensure all individuals with CF can lead long, fulfilling lives.
 

My passion for healthcare drives my commitment to this cause. Through my work in home care, I witness the resilience of those managing chronic conditions, which makes the fight against CF more meaningful. CF is a progressive genetic disease affecting the lungs and other organs. Approximately 40,000 individuals in the United States live with CF. Thanks to Foundation-supported research, the median survival age now exceeds 50 years, a significant leap from decades past. However, many still lack effective treatments, and a cure remains our ultimate goal.
