Let me be honest with you - I don't have a personal connection to Cystic Fibrosis. No one in my family has it. I didn't grow up knowing what it felt like to watch someone you love fight this disease every single day.

But last year, I attended the CF Foundation Gala - and everything changed.

I sat in a room full of people whose lives had been touched by CF, and I felt the weight of what this disease truly means. The stories, the resilience, the hope - it moved me in a way I didn't expect. I left that night knowing I had to do more than just show up. I had to show out.

That's why I'm here today. I am being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in my community. In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raise money to help the Foundation realize its mission of curing cystic fibrosis (CF) and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States are living with Cystic Fibrosis - a progressive, genetic disease that attacks the lungs and other vital organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF rarely lived long enough to start elementary school. Today, thanks to Foundation-funded research, the median survival age is over 50. That is the power of what donations can do. But we are not done yet. Too many people with CF still don't benefit from existing treatments. They are waiting - and your support can change that.

I've always believed in showing up for others, whether through volunteering, serving my community, or simply being present when it matters. This is my way of showing up for the CF community.

Please consider making a donation to my fundraising page. No amount is too small. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a cure - and to a world where no family has to hear the words "your child has Cystic Fibrosis" and feel hopeless.

Let's make history together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
