I am so excited to be part of this year’s class of “Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest” which helps to raise money to cure cystic fibrosis (CF) and provide all people living with the disease the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, the median survival age of people with CF is over 50. Funds raised goes toward research and care, and the ongoing development of medications that help those with CF lead productive and fulfilling lives.
