I am being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in my community. In accepting this distinction, I have committed to raise money to help the Foundation realize its mission of curing cystic fibrosis (CF) and providing all people with CF the opportunity to lead long, fulfilling lives.

About Me:
Personally, I do not have a connection with a person with CF. However, I have always been passionate about research and learning about everything in the medical field. My first career was as a veterinary assistant. This fulfilled my desire to learn everything I could about animal medicine. After I elected to move on from that job, I found work at Gerlach Chiropractic. This has taught me more about caring for the human body and as well as fueling the body with healthier food choices. I would like to use my connections in the vet field and the chiropractic world to raise awareness and continue research to find a cure for CF.

Please help me meet my fundraising goal by making a donation. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you have an opportunity in your lifetime to be part of ending this disease. Please consider joining us and help make medical history.

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF usually did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is over 50. Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.

Good morning! I'm excited to announce my two fundraising events. Thank you for your patience. On Thursday, September 18th ROAR is hosting a charity bingo night from 5p-11p. Ticket cost is $10 which can either be done at the door (cash or Venmo) or by donating to my webpage and having proof of donation that evening. ROAR also offers food and drinks that are available for purchase separate from my fundraising. Then, less the one week later, we can all rally again on Friday, September 26th at Burn Bright Books. We are hosting an all-day book bedazzling day. Come join us at one of the multiple time slots to bedazzle a book of your own with the supplied sequins. You can also support our new locally owned romance book store and purchase a book for the event there. All profits from the ticket sales will be kindly donated by Burn Bright Books to the CF Foundation. These two businesses mean a lot to me personally. I'm so fortunate to be working with them for my fundraising. ROAR provides a fun queer friendly for anyone to show up as their authentic self. Queer safe places are always important to support and remind us to embrace everyone exactly as they are. I've become an avid reader over the last few years. Reading has become one of my ways to unwined at the end of stressful day, or to pass the time driving in the car. I'm so happy to see more indie bookstores open in Rochester; there is great importance in supporting small businesses in our community.
