I was diagnosed at birth with CF. I had a very fortunate childhood where I was not very sick besides some GI issues. My first lung exacerbation was when I was 17 and has been ongoing ever since. Today I am 34 and still going strong. I unfortunately do not benefit from the lifesaving drugs that have come out, but I am still hopeful for one day there will be one that works for me. I have such a loving husband who stand with me through everything, along with great family and friends. The support that surrounds me helps keep me going and fighting. I enjoy raising awareness and fundraising for CF so one day it can stand for Cure Found. I am being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in my community.
