I’m incredibly honored to be selected as one of this year’s Acadiana’s Finest honorees. This campaign is about more than fundraising; it’s about using our voices, our businesses, our friendships, and our community to make a real impact for families affected by cystic fibrosis.

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. While major advancements in treatment and life expectancy have been made through research funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, there is still no cure — and many individuals continue to face daily medical challenges, hospitalizations, and lifelong treatments.

Over the next several months, I’ll be raising funds to support:
• Life-changing research and drug development
• Specialized care centers and treatment programs
• Advocacy and support for patients and families
• Continued progress toward a cure

As someone who strongly believes in community and supporting local businesses, this campaign means so much to me. I’ve already been overwhelmed by the encouragement and generosity from friends, coworkers, fellow book lovers, local businesses, and our Acadiana community.
