Bowl & Board

You're invited to get your hands dirty (in the best way) at Bowl & Board, a pinch pot pottery workshop benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This is one of the events in my campaign, as I raise funds ahead of the 9th Annual Backyard Ball this October.

What to expect: We'll spend the evening at Broad Studio Club House learning to hand-build pinch pots — no pottery experience required, just a willingness to get a little messy. While our pieces take shape, we'll sip wine and snack on a grazing-style charcuterie spread. You'll leave with a piece you made yourself and the good feeling of knowing your ticket helped fund life-changing CF research and care.

Why I'm hosting this: My friend Patrice has been my bestie for nine years, and she's also a member of the CF community and a past Austin's Finest honoree. Watching her navigate life with cystic fibrosis — and seeing how far research has come because of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation — is what pulled me into this work. Patrice actually helped shape the idea for this event
with her passion for creating pottery, and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate her with a night of good company and creativity.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has fueled dramatic improvements in CF research and care over the past several decades. Because of the Foundation's work, people with CF are living longer, fuller lives, and the outlook keeps improving every year — but there's still more work to do, and every dollar raised helps push toward a cure.

Thank you for considering joining us for an evening of pottery, wine, and good company. Whether you can make it in person or just want to support from afar with a donation, you're helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
