Nina Hoang is being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event recognizing outstanding professionals in our community. In accepting this distinction, she has committed to raising funds to help the Foundation achieve its mission: to cure Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and ensure that every person with CF can lead a long, fulfilling life.
Nina brings the same dedication to this mission that she brings to every part of her life. As an Actuarial Manager at Aetna, a CVS Health company, she focuses on ensuring pricing adequacy, maintaining competitive market positioning, and supporting the organization’s long‑term financial goals. Outside of her professional life, Nina is passionate about fitness, mental well‑being, and cultivating meaningful relationships with others.
Her commitment to helping others is what drives her to support the CF Foundation. Nearly 40,000 people in the United States live with cystic fibrosis - a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Sixty years ago, children with CF often did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, thanks to Foundation\u2011supported research and care, the median survival age is now over 60. The CF Foundation has helped develop more than a dozen treatments and added decades of life for people with CF.
Yet the work is far from finished. Many individuals with CF still do not benefit from existing therapies. The Foundation's vision is bold and unwavering: a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis - a life free from the burden of this disease. And they will not leave anyone behind.
