Nearly 40,000 people in the United States are living with cystic fibrosis—a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other vital organs. Just decades ago, many children with CF did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, thanks to advancements driven by the CF Foundation, the median life expectancy has risen to over 50 years. The Foundation has played a critical role in developing more than a dozen treatments, adding decades of life for many individuals.

However, there is still work to be done. Not everyone with CF benefits from existing therapies. The vision remains clear: a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis and a future free from the burden of this disease.
