In Memory of Alex:
I am fundraising in memory of a dear family friend, Alex Boyd.
Diagnosed with CF at birth, Alex lived each and every day with positivity and joy. She was a true example of courage and vivacity, never letting CF define or limit her. Alex was a loving daughter, thoughtful sister, and caring friend. Her warm smile and positive spirit live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
I know that there is potential to find a cure for CF, and I am hopeful that there will be a day when no person will lose their life to Cystic Fibrosis.
About Cystic Fibrosis:
Cystic fibrosis is a devastating genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than ten million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Advances continue to be made in finding a cure, but your help is needed now -- more than ever -- to help keep up the momentum of this life-saving research. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median survival age of people with CF is about 40. This is remarkable progress, but not good enough. We continue to lose precious lives to CF every day.
