I have worked for Haley Automotive Group since graduating from Wake Forest University in 2017. My position with Haley led me to manage our charitable donations fund for the group. This experience has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career so far and introduced me to the amazing people at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Haley has been donating to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for years and I was lucky enough to attend the Brewer's Ball a few years back. The event blew me away. There were so many local Richmond restaurants, vendors, and of course Breweries. The most touching part of the experience was hearing the stories of families and local Richmonders who live with CF. This organization has made a tangible impact on these families and allowed CF survivors to live a somewhat normal lifestyle. Just 3 decades ago the average person with cystic fibrosis would live only to the age of 30, but now 50 years is typical, and some patients live into their 80s. How amazing would it be if we were a part of the generation to help cure this disease once and for all?
