STANDOUT, a professional development and leadership program of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, recognizes Charlotte area young professional leaders who are active in the community, have excelled in their chosen profession or vocation, and have a desire to grow both professionally and philanthropically. STANDOUT honorees are nominated by their peers and supervisors and those selected to STANDOUT are among the most prominent and influential members of our community.

Through the STANDOUT program, honorees participate in professional development opportunities, are paired with an executive mentor in their field, and network with fellow community leaders. STANDOUT participants also learn about cystic fibrosis through meeting those impacted and touring the Care Center at Levine Children's Hospital and Atrium Health. In addition to celebrating Charlotte's young leaders, STANDOUT increases community awareness of cystic fibrosis and honorees activate their networks to raise funds and awareness to support the Foundation’s work. The STANDOUT program culminates with a gala celebrating the honorees on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at The Ruth, where their friends, family and colleagues will gather to toast to the STANDOUT Class of 2025.
