Hi friends,
I’m honored to be recognized as one of Austin’s Finest by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. With this honor comes a commitment: I’ve pledged to raise $2,500 by October 16th to help the Foundation continue its critical mission—finding a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF) and ensuring every person born with CF can live a long, healthy life.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My best friend Stephanie and her husband, Sean, have been involved with the CF Foundation for years. Sean has lived with CF for 39 years, and their strength, resilience, and advocacy inspired me to get involved. Through them, my family and I have proudly supported CF walks and events, and now I’m stepping up to do even more.
Here’s why your support matters:
- Nearly 40,000 people in the U.S. live with CF, a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.
- Just 60 years ago, children with CF often didn’t live long enough to start elementary school.
- Thanks to groundbreaking research and care supported by the CF Foundation, today's median age of survival for people with CF who were born between 2020 and 2024 is predicted to be 65—an incredible leap forward.
- But there’s still no cure. And many people with CF continue to confront serious health complications, and some cannot benefit from existing therapies at all. That’s why this fight isn’t over.
You can be part of changing the future of this disease. Every donation brings us closer to the day when families like Stephanie and Sean’s—and thousands more—won’t have to live under the weight of CF.
