I am incredibly honored to be recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation alongside a group of outstanding professionals in our community. While I am grateful for the recognition, what makes this opportunity especially meaningful is the chance to use it to make a real impact.
As part of this honor, I have committed to raising funds to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and its mission to find a cure for cystic fibrosis and help every person living with CF have the opportunity to live a long, full life. And this is where I need your help!
One of the things I love most about Arkansas is the way our communities show up for one another. I see it every day in my work and in the relationships I’ve been fortunate enough to build across our state. I believe that when we each contribute what we can, those individual acts of generosity can add up to something pretty incredible.
The progress already made in the fight against CF is proof of that. Sixty years ago, many children with cystic fibrosis did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, thanks in large part to Foundation-supported research and advances in treatment and care, people with CF are living longer than ever before. But the work isn't finished. There are still people with CF who do not benefit from existing therapies, and the ultimate goal remains the same: a cure for every person living with cystic fibrosis.
That's a goal I would be pretty proud to play even a small part in achieving.
So, I’m asking my friends, family, colleagues, and community to help me reach my fundraising goal. Whether you give $25, $50, $100, or whatever amount feels right to you, every donation moves us one step closer.
We have an opportunity in our lifetime to help make CF history. I hope you'll join me.
Thank you for supporting me, but even more importantly, thank you for supporting the thousands of individuals and families impacted by cystic fibrosis. Let's see what we can accomplish together!
