I am incredibly honored to be recognized by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at a special event celebrating outstanding professionals in our community. This recognition is especially meaningful to me because my daughter, Sutton, lives with cystic fibrosis.
 

In accepting this honor, I have committed to raising funds to support the Foundation’s mission: finding a cure for cystic fibrosis and ensuring every person with CF has the opportunity to live a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.
 

This cause is deeply personal for our family. Every day, Sutton faces the challenges that come with CF with incredible strength and resilience. Thanks to the groundbreaking research, treatments, and care supported by the CF Foundation, children like Sutton have more hope and brighter futures than ever before. But there is still so much work to be done.

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States live with cystic fibrosis, a progressive genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Decades ago, many children with CF did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, because of Foundation-supported research and care, the median predicted survival age for people with CF is now over 50 years old. While this progress is extraordinary, many individuals with CF still do not benefit from existing therapies. The CF Foundation remains committed to ensuring no one is left behind.
